Inside Out Weight Loss: Aligning Mind, Body and Spirit for Lasting Change

What is Your Soul’s Gift?

womanholdinggift.jpgIf you have listened to Episode 39 of Inside Out Weight Loss, you’ll know that I have udpated my personal Mission Statement, and I’m very excited about it.  Here it is:

My mission is to end the weight struggle, and enable others to share their Soul’s Gift.

I realized that my work is really all about enabling you to be your best, to truly live your life, and ultimately share your Soul’s Gift, whatever that might be, and however you might share it.  Because the real tragedy of the weight struggle is that it prevents us from truly being who we can be, from fully living our lives. It is self-opression, and it’s time to end it!

What becomes possible when we end the weight struggle? So much. Everything. You. Life.  In essence, you are then free to share what is special about you.  You are free to discover (if you haven’t already), and to share with the world your gifts, on a small scale or on a very large scale - it doesn’t matter. What matters is that you can, and you do.  It’s what you were born for.

So with this post I’m asking, what is your Soul’s Gift?  And how would you love to share it?

Post a comment and let us know. And if you aren’t sure, that’s why you are here. Share your best guess.

I would say that my soul’s gift is bringing smiles to my friends and family. It seems like I couldn’t do that when I was trying to lose weight. So now, I am loving life because losing weight is so much fun that it spreads like a virus to my surroundings and people seem to just love to laugh with me. I love bringing smiles to people and that is my gift to share with others. Thanks Renee! :)

First, Love the pod cast. Second I love the idea of putting on my mask on first. How wonderful that I can finally breath more deeply and say “no” sometimes. This helps me be more present in the moment and give more love to myself. I used to be the last on the list of my priorities. Now I feel more free than I have felt in years. People notice this change and ask me what I am doing I tell them about the program. I think my Soul’s gift is to be a good influence on those I love by spreading love, laughter and fun to those I meet. Thanks for helping me get in touch with my soul.

I love the podcast; Iam still trying to work on myself and listen faithfully. I am not sure of my soul’s purpose as of yet, I believe I have one. I am on this journey of weight loss to find a thinner, healthier me; Although somehow I keep becoming discouraged. I want to lose this extra person I am carrying around and yet it seems to be the hardest thing to do; Not to mention I am in my own way. It is one of those things where you know the answer and yet you still can’t figuer it out. Has anyone felt this way before? I am listening to the podcast from the beginning and sometimes I listen twice. Congratulations to Jesse and Cindy for finding your Soul’s gift. I hope to find mine one day soon.

I think that my soul’s gift is my ability to motivate and inspire others. (I’m an actor, and I find that the most exciting moments for me are when my acting or singing affects someone.) I’ve also realized, with the help of your wonderful podcast, that I love being able to motivate and inspire others to be healthy! So I’ve officially begun the process to become a personal trainer, and I am thrilled at the idea of helping others the way that you have helped me! I will definitely be recommending this podcast to my future clients!!!

I believe my soul’s gift is encouraging others. Secondarily, I’m a good listener. I care so much about other people, and seem to always be able to find a way to put a positive spin on the things they share with me. I feel so blessed to find encouragement from you, Renee. This has been a life changing experience for me, and I am really becoming good friends with myself through this process. I truly believe that, in time, weight will no longer be an issue for me, but in the meantime just learning to love myself and take good care of my self is a gift all its own!

These podcasts have helped me so much and I’m still on my first round of listening to them! Renee is making my weight loss journey so much better than I expected. When she first started talking about soul’s gifts, I immediately went to “I don’t know” because I’m used to not thinking about me or, more accurately, repressing what I want to do. After she said it a couple more times I noticed that my right hand felt very warm and a little heavy. It came to me pretty quickly after that-I love drawing and miss doing it! I’ve been keeping an eye out, trying to find my sketch pads when I get the chances to look. Found my pencils!!
