Inside Out Weight Loss: Aligning Mind, Body and Spirit for Lasting Change

Great Advice on What to Eat

I couldn’t have said it better myself…

Michael Pollan, author of “The Omnivore’s Dilemna”, has just released his new book “Food: An Eater’s Manifesto”.  I heard an interview with him the other day on NPR.  Almost every statement he made echoed my own philosophy of what to eat, and why.  Plus he tells the insightful story of how and why so much of our food supply is toxic for our health.  Cut and paste this link into your browser: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=17850369 to listen to the NPR interview. Or support the show by using this link to pick up the book from Amazon.com:

To your health!

Thanks for the link, Renee. Michael Pollan is awesome! I loved The Botany of Desire and The Omnivore’s Dilemma and didn’t realize he had another book out. I ordered it just now through your link. :)

As part of my inside-out journey, I joined a local CSA (community supported agriculture) farm. It was a bit of an investment but what could be better for me and my family than a regular supply of healthy, locally grown, organic produce? Not to mention the social aspect–monthly potlucks with other members, rubbing elbows on pick-up days with other families interested in healthy eating, actually getting to know the people who grow my food. On top of that, there the pride in supporting a local family business. I highly recommend this!
