    Thank you for this podcast, especially this installment! I really connected to your words during this episode. I am one of those highly educated people that understand the science but have struggled to implement what I know. I agree with you that too much emphasis is placed on diet and exercise alone. Another extremely component is the mental or internal motivation component.

    Also, as I was listening, I was thinking that “Man I’ve already blown it…I ate too much at lunch.” Well you addressed that right away when you said…”you will overeat” and that eating like a slim person requires “practice” and naturally slim people adjusts their diet to account for overeating. I have routinely taken the practice of overeating MORE after initially overeating. You know the notion that since I’ve messed up already I might as well go all the way…then 300 excess calories turns into 3000 excess calories and one off day turns into 2, 3, or 4 weeks. Thank you for addressing the lose-regain-lose-regain cycle. I get it now…thank you
